Happy National Volunteer Week!

In 2023, you contributed 42,352 volunteer hours!

We kicked off National Volunteer Week by hosting Orange Brunch — our community appreciation event which is all about saying thank you to our wonderful volunteers for their invaluable contributions over the past year, making it possible to do the work we do. Each year, we invite staff around the DI to nominate volunteers and community members for our Orange Brunch values awards.

The brunch was held at The Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre on Sunday, April 14th and was comprised of a delicious brunch buffet with live entertainment by Amy Hef, a meaningful unveiling of the AVW stage with a tribute to Adam Van Wielingen, and a volunteer awards ceremony that recognized individuals and groups who exemplify our core values as an agency.
