Watch: Frank’s Story

At the Calgary Drop-In Centre, we’ve long believed that it takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help. Yet, we believe just as firmly that it takes a lot of courage to step out again on your own.

Though our priority is to keep the identity of DI clients confidential, we get pretty excited when folks give us permission to share the celebratory letters and messages they send to us. “Frank” (a pseudonym to protect their identity) sent us this text message after the housing team helped them find their own home.

“Frank” and more than 250 others like them, were housed during the COVID-19 pandemic with thanks to the Go Big, Go Home campaign.
