Tom Whitehead is a professional engineer and recently retired managing partner of a local management consulting firm. He was a member of the DMR Centre for Strategic Leadership, has a long history with design of high availability control systems and has been awarded the American Gas Association’s awards of merit and of service. He has been a community leader with the Canadian Progress Club for more than 38 years and has served as National President. He is proud to have been awarded the Canadian Progress Club Bill Durant Community Service Award and to have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. 

A Founder of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization, Tom served on their board for 10 years, and prior to that on the Uncles at Large Board. He is married with two grown children and two grandchildren. An avid reader, he also enjoys sun, sand, and water.
