Mirela Hiti

Board Chair

Mirela leads engineering, projects and supply chain functions at Gibson Energy. She brings over 20 years of experience and leadership in strategy, innovation and portfolio management in the energy industry in Europe and Canada. An active volunteer, Mirela enjoys working with organizations that support the Calgary community. She has been on the board of Calgary Opera Association and Green Calgary, and volunteering occasionally with Alberta Children’s Hospital, Calgary Reads, Calgary YWCA and Calgary Patriots Swim Club in the past.

Mirela holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and an MBA from Laval University, and a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. She is married and has two young daughters. She spends most of her free time with family, traveling, or experimenting in the kitchen and garden.
