The days are getting longer, and Spring is peeking around the corner. This time of year, many Calgarians who are fortunate enough to have a home to call their own are cleaning house and letting go of old items.

As you jump into your Spring cleaning, consider donating your lightly used furniture, kitchenware, clothing, computers, mobile phones, small appliances, and more to the Free Goods Program. Your donated items help to provide low- and no-income Calgarians with the essentials they need to make a house a home – at zero cost.

We’re partnering with the City of Calgary’s Community Cleanups to coordinate free pick-up at select locations near you to make donating a little easier. If you can’t make it to your neighbourhood Community Cleanup or there isn’t one in your neighbourhood, don’t worry! You can drop off donations directly at our Donation Centre all year long (click here for details).

Everyone deserves a place to call home, and we invite you to join us as we work together toward achieving that dream. We hope to see you at a Community Cleanup soon!

I am a new immigrant in Canada and my counsellor referred me to the Free Goods Program for furniture pickup. I was at the Donation Centre and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. There were several lovely household items to pick from and I got some good stuff for my family. I even got a computer for my boys. I just want to say a big thank you for the great work that your organization is doing to help new immigrants settle down in Canada. Kudos to you guys!
