Here are some ideas on how you can create a Ripple of kindness!

Whether it’s giving back through volunteering, donating furniture or clothing, knitting toques, or assembling kindness kits for those in need, every action, no matter how small, has the power to create positive change and inspire others to do the same. Together, let’s spread kindness and compassion, one ripple at a time.

How the #RippleEffect first began

Long View Systems approached Daughter Creative, a Calgary-based design and advertising agency, to help develop the idea of “The Ripple Effect”. Cabin Brewing offered to can fresh water, Raft Labs tested it, and Royal Printers printed the labels, with all involved donating their time and services. This water was then generously donated to the DI.

Warm Hearts, Warm Heads

Meet Julie, who has a heart as warm as the toques she knits. With a passion for knitting and a deep empathy for those in need, Julie decided to put her skills to use for a cause and knitted toques that not only provided physical warmth, but also warmed the hearts of those facing the bitter cold.

‘Soleful’ Generosity

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the MNP Centre exemplified generosity by donating 128 pairs of shoes through their members at their fitness facility. This thoughtful act not only provided essential footwear but also showcased the power of collective giving and the impact a united effort can have on those in need.

Put together packages filled with kindness that will go directly to our city’s most vulnerable people. On your own or as a group (also a great opportunity to do with your kids), there are multiple types of Kindness Kits to build!
