Orange Brunch 2023

Happy National Volunteer Week!

We are Better, Together. This year, we kicked off Volunteer Week by hosting Orange Brunch — our community appreciation event which is all about saying thank you to our wonderful volunteers for their invaluable contributions over the past year, making it possible to do the work we do. Each year, we invite staff around the DI to nominate volunteers and community members for our Orange Brunch values awards.

In just one year, you have contributed 42,934 volunteer hours!
That is equivalent to 23 full-time staff members!

The brunch was held at The Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre on Sunday, April 16th and was comprised of a delicious brunch buffet with live entertainment by Amy Hef, a poignant presentation by our Keynote Speaker, Alice Lam, and a volunteer awards ceremony that recognized individuals and groups who exemplify our core values as an agency.
