Giving back to the community is something we cannot get enough of, as hundreds of Calgarians go without the essentials that afford them a comfortable lifestyle. One local business that has made great strides to ensure that those less fortunate Calgarians can maintain a basic level of comfortability is Calgary’s own Devon+Lang. Not only have they recently donated over a thousand pairs of underwear to the DI, but Devon+Lang has pledged to donate a further 500,000 pairs over the next ten years.

Founded by Tyler McCombs in 2019, Devon+Lang aims to provide the highest-quality underwear using the newest technologies and sustainable fabrics. They also aim to give back to the community by working with various agencies around the Calgary area to ensure that vulnerable communities have access to clean and comfortable underwear.

“As a brand, we make what we like to say is life-changing underwear, and we think it is life-changing because of the great quality of the garments that we make, but also, we want to give back to our communities in whatever ways we can,” says McCombs.

To reach their goal of donating 500,000 pairs of underwear over the next 10 years, one pair of their lifesaving underwear will be donated with every purchase of a Devin+Lang garment. Alongside that, working with the Calgary Drop-In Centre has been a key part of their strategy.

“It’s so easy to see the impact the drop-in center is making on the Calgary Community,” said McCombs.

Continuing on his mission to give back to the community, McCombs urges Calgarians and other companies alike to help tackle homelessness not just in Calgary but around the world.

“ It’s something that we all need to be responsible for and if we can all give a little bit, then the world becomes a better place,” said McCombs.
