Emily's Marathon to end homelessness

Running With Purpose: Emily’s Story of Compassion in Action

This May 2026, Emily will be hitting the streets of Calgary with an extraordinary mission — to run the Servus Calgary Marathon and raise critical funds for the Calgary Drop-In Centre.

Emily’s goal is ambitious: $50,000 to support the DI’s life-changing programs for Calgarians experiencing homelessness. Every dollar she raises will go directly to providing safe shelter, nutritious meals, and access to health and housing supports for those who need it most.

Why run a marathon for the DI? Emily believes in the power of community and knows that lasting change starts with compassion and action. “I want to do more than just run,” she says. “I want to help make a real difference in the lives of people who are struggling.”

You can help Emily reach her goal and make a tangible impact. Every contribution brings us closer to a Calgary where everyone has a safe place to call home.
