Calgary Drop-In Centre sees 47 per cent drop in chronic homelessness

“A year-and-a-half long push by the Calgary Drop-In Centre to get homeless Calgarians into their own housing has resulted in a 47 per cent drop in chronic homeless clients, the facility says.”

“[The Calgary Drop-In Centre] will finally open the doors of Centre 4800 [now Greenview Rise], after purchasing the former Quality Inn for $8 million in 2012. When the $20-million renovation is complete, the seven-storey building will provide 79 studio, single-bedroom and two-bedroom units for vulnerable Calgary residents in need of supportive affordable housing.”
